Vastu Do’s and Dont’s

Do’s

  • is an intrinsic form of energy that guides us the laws of the nature for our wellbeing. Ignorance of these laws won’t be taken as an excuse anywhere. Below are listed some of the rules that everyone should abide by in their life.
  • A pond or a water body should be placed in Northeast corner of the house.
  • Use medicated plants like Tulsi, Horse Mint, Ashwagandha, Aloe, Jojoba, meetha neem etc.
  • The maximum should be done in South, West and southwest portion of the plot.
  • Rectangular, circular or gomukhi plot is considered auspicious and the plot with more length in eastwards direction is considered beneficial for purchasing purposes.
  • The entire opening should be made on the North and East Side of the house.
  • A plot with all corners 90 degrees having two sides road front and back is a good plot.
  • A plot which faces roads from all the four sides is considered very propitious. A square plot is also very auspicious and brings in prosperity and wealth.
  • The slope of the property should be from West to east or South to north.
  • The open space left in North and east should be more than South and West.
  • The doors of house/office, especially the main door should never produce creaky noise.
  • Total number of doors should be in even numbers i.e. 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 etc.
  • The main door of the building should always open towards your left when you stand inside the building.
  • One should always have a small window near the door or near the magic eye in the door.
  • A house should be designed in such a way so that there is maximum entry of sunlight and proper cross ventilation.
  • Pregnant females should avoid Southeast rooms.

Don’t’s

  • Vastu is an intrinsic form of energy that guides us the laws of the nature for our wellbeing. Ignorance of these laws won’t be taken as an excuse anywhere. Below are listed some of the rules that everyone should abide by in their life.
  • The ground of the plot should be flat leveled where you are planning to make your home. The plot should not be on any slope or even if it is, it should be sloping in downwards direction either in north or east direction.
  • Avoid purchasing a site that lies to the south, west, south-west, north-west or south-east of a property.
  • The doors of house/office, especially the main door should never produce creaky noise.
  • Prefer a plot with no obstructions. If any, then it should be on the southern or western side rather than on eastern or northern side. This is because the impediments are propitious if they block the winds from west and they are untoward if they block the sun’s rays from reaching inside home.
  • Don’t plant trees in the north and east sector. You can plant a tree in the southwest sector of the building.
  • Trees of any kind should not be grown in eastern or northern, northeast directions.
  • Pictures of any war scenes, demons, one in anger should not be placed in the house.
  • Avoid dead plants in front of your house.
